Nights Out @ New Art: Indigenous Beading Workshop

Join Nancy Brown-Garcia for an evening exploring the intricate beadwork practices and traditions of Indigenous peoples, and be inspired to create your own beaded masterpieces. Nancy “Daughter of the Redtail Hawk” is a Shawomett/Cowessett Narragansett Indian. Nancy is the chief deputy historical preservation officer of her tribe, and has a traveling museum of artifacts. Nancy has worked in school systems with all ages for over 35 years. She has exhibited her smallest beadwork and wmapum in Paris, France.
