In this course we?ll look at the history of the medieval book. What books were being produced in medieval Europe? Who made the books? How were they made? Why were they made? How were they circulated? From religious texts made in monasteries to chivalric romances and texts for the emerging middle class, books from the Middle Ages reveal to historians more than just the words on the page.
