Painting Classes in the Boston Area

Painting is probably the most popular and most appreciated art form, promising almost unlimited creative expression. 

What makes painting so fascinating are the variety of media used such as oil paint, acrylics, watercolors, tempera, pencil, marker, pen and ink, chalk pastels, oil pastels, charcoals, scratchboards, and even mixed media.  This seemingly endless variety is one of the reasons people are attracted to it. 

Classes are a good way to quickly get off the ground.  Beginner classes teach all the necessary skills including materials selection, paint thinning, surface preparation and paint application.  Advanced classes will enhance your technique and help you develop you personal style and vision. This can include experimenting with a variety of media and different settings such as plein-air (outdoor) and painting with live models.

Painting classes generally require you to bring a set of materials that is published beforehand.
