Wood Working Classes in the Boston Area

Woodworking is an ancient craft that still has significant appeal and practical value today. Objects built from wood are practical, and they can be turned into objects of great artistic beauty.

Working with wood is not just ecologically sound, but there's something deeply satisfying about transforming natural materials into something beautiful and functional. Whether you're planning to build a play structure or small keepsakes, woodworking classes are a great way to learn the techniques.

In a beginners class, you will learn many of the basic skills, like planning a project and making a drawing, choosing materials, cutting, planning and shaping, and much more. You will learn how to use tools and how to finish wood.

Once you have the basic skills, you can then proceed to work in many different styles, like joinery, wood turning, carving, and much more.
