Pottery Classes in the Boston Area

Pottery has been part of our culture for thousands of years. Even today many of our  pots, plates and vessels  are still made from pottery.

Making pottery is a simple but magical process where you transform a lump of clay to a useful object. This is not difficult to learn and you can do it at any age. You will find it to be very satisfying and there is no limit to your creativity and level of perfection you can achieve.

A pottery class is the best way to get off the ground. In a class you are guaranteed a short learning curve with experts who can guide you through the tricky parts like centering and bringing up. You get instant feedback and on top of that you will be having fun with your fellow students.  Pottery classes can be as short as a couple of hours.

Expect to get dirty so proper apparel is a must.  Wear a loose old shirt, old shoes and an apron (provided in many classes).  Bringing a towel is another good idea.
